A 400l student of Olabisi Onabanjo University made an outcry on her Twitter on Sunday 20th of October stating that she was being held back in the school for a singular “required” course, which according to her used to be pardoned. She then claimed to be frustrated and suffering and would want to “end this life“.
- Some sources who begged anonymity said that she’s not the lone affected person. An anonymous source claimed that some tens and almost hundreds of students were also affected from different faculties in the school.
Suicide is now prevalent in the society and this is one of the reasons youth take their lives.
Here is the post she made on Twitter;
I have tried all my 4yrs in OOU, through thick and thin, to survive and get educated at the same time. But just a required course, and they are giving me an extra year? Why?? I am frustrated & I suffering.I am sorry I can't take it anymore. I have to end this life!— Rofiat Lovie (@BabatundeRofiat) October 20, 2019
