CHILDHOOD AND EARLY CAREER
Able large whose real name is John Nwanneka was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. His Father hailed from Delta State while His Mother hailed from Delta/Bayelsa State.
Able large lost his Father at just 6yrs old. He started singing at age nine while working in the farm in a community called Osekeneke, Sabama local government, Bayelsa state where he attended his Primary education while living with his maternal uncle. Meanwhile, He became very sick and stops schooling for some years.he miraculously got health after being minister to in church by a pastor.
Able large came back to Port Harcourt in 1993 to live with his elder brother in Rumuigbo where he adopted the name ‘able’ as a result of his ability in carrying any task given to him successfully and his believe that he would be a global personality.
He was enrolled at Craft Centre to study Motor Vehicle Mechanic (MVM) which he wasn’t comfortable with (because he was becoming an a standing musician)and wanted going to university to study, though he successfully completed the programme from craft centre.
Able large later gained admission to River State Polytechnic, now named Ken Sarowiwa Polytechnic. However, during his study he usually performs on stage during cultural festival.
Able large struggled in school due to financial constraint and after his ND programme in Marketing he started doing house painting job. Whenever there is no money, he visits building sites to do labour jobs such as digging suck-away for survival
Able large did his first recording in the year 2010 and started performing in birthday parties and other parties in Rivers State while working as a Painter with Rockson engineering.
Consequently, he started his training as Health Safety and Environmental,be become a Safety Officer and since then he has been on this career.
Able large was duped by e-clay records while trying to promote his music but by God’s grace he is still in the music business, now have a video on the track song 4 the children/babyjane,ready to hit the airways, according to him,he has numerous written songs he hopes to collaborate with other artists both naija n abroad,he is open for any serious and willing record label,
